Sunday Services

Within our congregation we now have members from a wide variety of worship backgrounds and with a wide variety of preferences in terms of the style of worship.

We have services follow a fairly central line of Anglican worship, using largely Common Worship but reflecting the traditional Book of Common Prayer for Holy Communion at the 8.00am service on Sundays.

With the exception of the Family Service all our main services at 10.45am are accompanied by our organist.  Hymns are chosen from either Mission Praise or Hymns Ancient and Modern. Music at the Family Service is provided by members of the congregation playing guitars and a keyboard and singing.

We have a sound system that also provides an Induction Loop for those with compatible hearing aids.

At Communion services, we welcome all who have been baptised to share at the Communion Rail.  If you would prefer to receive Communion in your seat, we are very happy to bring it to you.

Each Sunday we aim to begin with a Service of Holy Communion at 8.00am. During the current vacancy the limitaitons on the availabillity of clergy to celebrate means that instead sometimes a Lay Eucharistic Minister leads Holy Communion by Extension and sometimes a Lay Worship Leader leads a said Mattins.

The main Sunday service - at 10.45am - varies, as we progress through the month in line with the following pattern:

First Sunday          Family Service

Second Sunday      Sung Eucharist

Third Sunday         Service of the Word

Fourth Sunday       Sung Eucharist

Fifth Sunday          Service of the Word
